Home Owner Meetings

Would you like to become a Habitat homeowner?

Well join us! Habitat for Humanity Pulaski County cordially invites you to attend our Homeowner Orientation workshops.

Homeowners Orientation first Tuesday of every month at 5:30.
The meetings will be held at The Neighborhood Resource Center
at 3805 W. 12th St. LR 72204, Rm. 207

Staff and volunteers will explain the Habitat mission, the criteria used to select potential homeowners, the application process and more. You will also be given the opportunity to ask questions and fill out your application on site. So mark your calendars to learn how you can own a Habitat home. Individuals who are interested in buying a home through Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County must attend a Homeowner Orientation Session.

Selection Criteria


In general, the Family Selection Criteria used by Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County is as follows:
  • Need for Adequate Shelter
  • Ability to Pay for a Habitat Home
  • Willingness to Partner with Habitat
  • During the Homeowner Orientation Session, more information about the selection criteria and application process will be provided. Attendees will be provided an application form during the orientation session.

    Things Needed for a Complete Application.

    Attendees will receive an application form at the Orientation. When the application is complete, it should be returned to the main Habitat office located at:

    Items to be returned with the application should include the following list. These items are needed from anyone to be included on the Habitat loan. Failure to supply any of these items could delay processing of your application.
    1. Numbers and Dates: Social security number and date of birth of all applicants; date of marriage, divorce or separation; date of birth for all household members.


    2. Legal Status: If applicant is single but has been married in the past, he or she will need to show proof of legal separation or divorce (or obtain a post-nuptial agreement if approved for buying a home).


    3. Proof of Identification: IRS I-9 identification guidelines are appropriate.


    4. Landlord Information: Name, address and phone number.


    5. Your Previous Address: Including the number of years you lived there.


    6. Employer Information: Name, address, phone and supervisor's name.


    7. Current Pay Stub and/or Other Proof of Income: Including total for each pay period for every adult member of the household.


    8. Other Income Information: Includes all sources of income (e.g. child support); includes amounts of income and name, address and phone number of person or agency supplying the income.


    9. W-2s and Tax Returns: Documents for the past 2 years.


    10. Debts: People, companies or any agency you may owe money to, including names, addresses, amount you owe and amount you pay each month.


    11. Other Monthly Bills: Amount of monthly utility bills, car and insurance payments, rent and other regular expenses.


    12. Bank Accounts: Address and account number of accounts, if any.
