If you would like to volunteer, just complete the Habitat Volunteer Form, email it to volunteer@habitatpulaski.org, and we will be happy to assist you in finding the perfect place to use your talents!

Volunteer Opportunities

Construction
Construction can be scheduled typically Tuesday-Thursday or on Saturdays. The workday starts between 8-8:15 and can last until around 2pm. No special skills are required. You can bring your own tools if you want, but we'll have plenty on-site. Lunch can usually be arranged for larger groups (12-15). Please bring your own drinks.

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for construction sites
  • Organize volunteer recognition events and activities
  • Develop and implement volunteer orientation

  • Create and distribute an affiliate newsletter
  • Interview homeowners for feature articles in newsletter
  • Assist with media events and PR activities

    • Fundraising

  • Gather items for silent auctions
  • Assist in organizing fundraising events and campaigns
  • Coordinate contacts with donors and prospects

    • Training (homeowners, board, maintenance crews, construction supervisors)

  • Conduct training needs assessments
  • Design training courses
  • Incorporate coursework from third party organizations
  • Serve as co-facilitator for training sessions
  • Develop and implement an 'alumni association' for homeowners
